Reforestation
PISCES has cumulatively planted over 10,000 trees which produce food for humans and livestock while also improving the soil for increased harvests.
Our Story
PISCES was founded in 2020 by Togolese environmentalist Aboukerime TILATE and American Agroecologist Michael Curcio. Since then, PISCES has expanded its impact throughout the region, training thousands of farmers and planting over ten thousand trees. PISCES works closely with Association Ting Pandu (link to Ting Pandu page), a farming organization hard at work to promote sustainable community-based development.
PISCES follows the principles of permaculture in its training and agricultural practices. Permaculture intentionally designs agricultural ecosystems that mimic natural environments to produce nutritious food while supporting soil and environmental health.

Where We Work
PISCES primarily works in the Savanes Region of Togo, West Africa. This is the northernmost region of Togo and has the highest rates of deforestation, soil degradation, and food insecurity.
